Occasionally when using one of the Zoom-enabled classrooms you will find that you are unable to share your screen. This is caused when someone enters the Zoom meeting before the Zoom Room joins.

Solution
- Find your Host Key

- Enter Host Key in Meeting Controls
Find your Host Key
- Log into johncarrolluniversity.zoom.us (use the SSO method)
- In the left-hand navigation, click on Profile
- Scroll down to the section titled "Meeting"
- Under the Meeting section, you should see "Host Key"
- Click on the closed-eye icon, this will display your host key

Customize Your Host Key
- Follow steps 1 through 4 above
- On the far right-hand side of the screen (same line as "Host Key"), click Edit.
- Enter any 6-digit number.
- Click Save.
Enter Host Key into Meeting Control Screen
-
On the Zoom side of the touchscreen, select Manage Participants.

-
Under the Participants you will see that the room does not have (Host) next to the room name, meaning the room is not able to share.

-
At the bottom of the participant list, select Claim Host and enter the code you retrieved from your user profile.

-
You will now see that the room has (Host) after the name and will be able to share.
