Adding Google Account Recovery Information

Prerequisites 

• An active Google account with JCU

How to set up account recovery to ensure you can get back into your Google account if you ever can’t sign in.

Adding Recovery Info

1. Go to your Google account settings at myaccount.google.com
2. On the left click on the Personal Info tab.
3. Under the Contact Info section click on the Email field.
   
4. Under the Recovery Email section click Add recovery email.
5. Now go back to the Contact Info section and click on Phone.
6. Click Setup and add a personal phone number.

Updating Recovery Info

• You can and should use the steps in the section above to update your recovery email and phone number if they change.
• If your account is locked out and you need to change your recovery info to sign back in please contact the JCU Service Desk at 216-397-3005.
