The tools in Google Workspace are everything you need to get anything done, now in one place. Google Workspace includes all of the productivity apps—Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meet, and many more. Regardless of where you are working from or on what device, Google Workspace is the tool provided by JCU to create, communicate, and collaborate.

Who is eligible to use it?
All current students, faculty, and staff. Alumni and retired faculty and staff of John Carroll also retain access to JCU email and Google Workspace.
Restrictions:
- Must be a current student, faculty, staff, retired staff or faculty to access Google Workspace.
- Alumni retain access to Gmail only.
How do I access it?
Access to Google Workspace is tied to an active JCU network account. Use your JCU Email Address (including @jcu.edu) and your SSO Password to log in.

Once logged in, you can access the full list of tools via the Google Applications menu in the upper right corner.
2-Step Verification (Multi-Factor Authentication)
All students, faculty, staff, alumni, and retirees are required to use 2-step verification with their JCU Google Account. You will be prompted to enroll the first time you log into your account. Please see the Setting Up JCU Google Account article for detailed instructions.
Failure to enable 2-Step Verification will cause you to be locked out of your accounts. You will need to call the Service Desk (216-397-3005) to unlock your account and set up 2-Step Verification.
Account Suspension
Google and JCU take cyber-security seriously and will suspend JCU Google accounts due to unusual activities, suspicious logins, or account inactivity. If you find that your account has been incorrectly suspended, JCU can check and un-suspend your account by using the request to the right.
