Installing 1 Tap Printing for Students
Summary
How to connect a personal device to the student print queue and print a document at a public printer on campus.

Below are the instructions for connecting to a printer from a personal computer or mobile device.
Prerequisites
Before beginning, please ensure that your personal device is connected
to
eduroam
. See to the right for instructions on how to connect to
eduroam
.
It is recommended that you delete any previous installations of Mobility Print first. See the Printer Uninstallation instructions on the right.
This process uses Mobility Print, but pulls info from a different location so please follow the install steps below.

Install the StudentPrinting Queue for 1 Tap Printing
Windows
Go to
http://printsrv25:9163/setup
.
Click
Download
Run the
pc-mobility-print
installer when it finishes downloading.
Select your language and agree to the terms and conditions.
Check the box next to the
StudentPrinting
printer and click
Next
.
Enter your JCU credentials when prompted.
Click
Finished
.
macOS
Go to
http://printsrv25:9163/setup
Click
Download
.
Open the installer.
Double Click on
Papercut Mobility Print Client.pkg
Advance through prompts, agreeing to the license and clicking
Install.
Input your
Mac
username and password when prompted. The installer will take a minute to scan for available printers.
Check the box next to the StudentPrinting printer and click
OK
.
Click
OK
on the "printer successfully installed" message and close the installer.
The first time you print, you will be prompted to put in your JCU single-sign-on credentials. Check the box
remember this password in my keychain
if you wish to have your credentials saved for future use.
iOS
Using
Safari
, go to
http://printsrv25:9163/setup
. Make sure the heading says
iPhone or iPad
, not Mac
Tap
Download
.
Tap
Allow
Navigate to the
Settings
app on your iOS device.
Tap
Profile Downloaded
on the left navigation menu.
Tap
Install
. Put in your lock passcode for your device when prompted.
Tap
Install
again.
Tap
Done
at the top right.
You will be prompted for your JCU username and password the first time you print.
Android
Go to
http://printsrv25:9163/setup
.
You'll be redirected to the Play Store page for Mobility Print. Tap
Install
.
Open the Mobility Print app once installed.
When prompted allow notifications.
Tap on the tile that says "Tap here and check the Mobility Print Service is on."
In the list of print services, make sure Mobility Print is toggled on.
When you print a document, you should now see the StudentPrinting printer. Enter your JCU username and password when prompted.
If you don't see the StudentPrinting queue, repeat step 1 and 2.
