Overview
A one button studio is a recording and production lab that features two state-of-the-art solutions.
Features:
- There are two one button studios: Grasselli Library rm. B102 & O'Malley Center rm. 62.
- The one button studios allow JCU students, faculty and staff to effortlessly record lectures, presentations, etc. from Canvas Studio with customizable backgrounds including university logos without any post-production work.
- There's also a studio lightboard in both studios that can be used to break down complex course material, which allows for engagement with visual explanations.
- The spaces are soundproof and have crystal clear microphones that can be used with one push of a button.
- No prior knowledge of technology is required to utilize these spaces.
Who is eligible to use it?
The one button studio at Grasselli Library is for JCU staff/faculty only. The O'Malley Center location is for all JCU students and staff/faculty.
How do I request / access it?

Use this link to book a session with a member of the CDM team. Scroll to the very bottom. Under Reserve Self Service Studio , click on the room you want to use.

If you’re a staff/faculty member using the studio in Grasselli Library, use your Carroll Card to unlock the door. If you need access, contact John Mack at jmack@jcu.edu.

If you’re a student or staff/faculty member using the studio in the O’Malley Center, follow the instructions on the door to unlock it.
