The VPN, or virtual private network, is a network that can be accessed off-campus so that one may access files on one’s O drive, personal files, and so on. It is accessed through a program called GlobalProtect.
Prerequisites
- Must be a current JCU employee or student.

Windows Install
- Navigate to https://sslvpn.jcu.edu and log in using CAMPUS credentials (note that https:// MUST be specified).



- Download Windows 64 Bit Global Protect agent, then open and install:

- Click on the downloaded package to Install GlobalProtect. Click Continue and follow on-screen instructions to install the client.




- After installation, GlobalProtect client window will open at the bottom right corner.

- Fill in Portal with sslvpn.jcu.edu and hit Connect.
- This will prompt a window for your JCU Single Sign-On information. Fill in with your Username and Password using CAMPUS credentials, then hit Sign In.

- You will next need to complete the Duo Mobile Verification via Push, Call Me, or Passcode Option.

- Once verification is done, you will be connected to the VPN.

- To Disconnect, right-click the Global Connect icon in the system tray, and select Disconnect.
MacOS Installation
- Navigate to https://sslvpn.jcu.edu and log in using CAMPUS credentials (note that https:// MUST be specified).



- Download Mac 32/64 Bit Global Protect agent, then open and install:

- Click on the downloaded package to Install GlobalProtect. Click Continue and follow on-screen instructions to install the client.





- Open the GlobalProtect agent from the system tray.

- Fill in Portal with sslvpn.jcu.edu
- Fill in Username and Password using CAMPUS credentials.


- Click Connect.
