Troubleshooting Zoom Voicemail Missing Audio

Prerequisites 

  • Zoom Workplace Desktop Client
    • If you don't see the Zoom Client installed on your system:
      • JCU Owned Device: Open Software Center (Windows) / Self Service (Mac) and install Zoom
      • Non-JCU Owned Device: Download the Client from Zoom
  • Computer with a Microphone or a Desk Phone

Symptoms

When recording a message in your Zoom settings (johncarrolluniversity.zoom.us) the audio file contains no sound.

Troubleshooting Zoom Voicemail Audio for PC

  1. Click Start Menu 
  2. Click Settings 
  3. Click System
  4. Click Sound
  5. Under Choose your input device, make sure that the device selected has a Microphone (built-in or connected to your PC; not the docking system)

Troubleshooting Zoom Voicemail for Mac

  1. Press Command ⌘ & Spacebar, search for Sound
  2. Partway down the screen, click on Input tab
  3. Under Select a device for sound input, make sure that the device selected has a Microphone (built-in or connected to your Mac; not the docking station)
