Overview
Phones
John Carroll University utilizes an Zoom VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) system for university phones. Zoom Phone is a cloud-based VoIP platform that integrates seamlessly with our existing Zoom services. It will enable you to make and receive calls over the internet using your computer, smartphone, or a VoIP-enabled desk handset (available upon request). Analog and fax lines can also be setup where needed.
Voice Mail
Voice mail messages can be accessed through the Zoom Workspace app, through email notifications, or through johncarrolluniversity.zoom.us. Personalized greetings including holiday greetings and hours can be set up in your Zoom settings or from your deskphone.
Remote Access
Both phone and voice mail services can be accessed anywhere via the Zoom Workplace App. The app is preinstalled on university laptops and can be installed on personal computers or smartphones.
Who is eligible to use it?

Restrictions:
Part-Time Faculty and student Employees will not have access to the remote or softphone features of the Zoom platform.
