Overview
Virtual Desktops are non-physical computers that run on university servers. They are used to power many lab computers around campus, and can also be accessed from any internet-capable device through the web portal, jcudigitalportal.jcu.edu.
Features:
- Can be accessed anywhere using JCUDigitalportal
- Provides students access to university licensed software, such as IBM SPSS
- Allows faculty and staff to log into a desktop with access to their files from anywhere
Who is eligible to use it?
Faculty, Staff, and Students.
Restrictions:
Access to specific desktops and applications may be restricted based on whether you are a student or employee, as well as which classes you are in.
How do I access it?
There are several computer labs on campus that utilize virtual desktops for their workstations. You can also access them from any computer, anywhere, using the jcudigitalportal.jcu.edu website.

Faculty: If you need to provide students access to a specific application / virtual desktop please fill out the access form on the right. If you need to add an application to the lab computers please use the installation form.
